Our Diving Exmouth tours are at the peak of dive locations anywhere in Australia and the world
Unsurprisingly, the world famous Exmouth Navy Pier has been voted as one of the top 10 dive sites in Australia, and one of the top shore dives in the world, and it is right here on our doorstep!
The 300m long pier is situated just 14kms from Exmouth. It is still an active Navy Pier, and can be used from time to time by Navy ships for servicing the Naval base, it is therefore not accessible to the general public and must be dived through a licensed company.
Dives here are completely dependant on tidal movements, the currents around the area are very strong meaning it can only be dived during slack tide. Therefore either a single dive or double dives are possible depending on the moon phase. As a result, dive times vary from day to day, but the currents add to the rich variety of marine life found here.
Restricting access to the pier and not allowing fishing, means that underneath the structure it is teeming with marine life, often described as the marine equivalent of an oasis in the desert, the marine life gravitates to the structure for protection. As a result the biodiversity for a small area is incredible.
